These are the spanky new shoes, and I *heart* them. We are going to have such a great time together. I am even toying with signing up for a half marathon in the summer so I’ll have something to work towards. Plus, I’m sure I’ll get a medal, and who doesn’t like those??
Also in the photo is a new gadget I bought: a Nike+iPod running sensor, but I can’t seem to get it to work. I will rave about that once I get into the Apple store to replace it. I’m really disappointed after seeing this review and realizing this was the missing link in my running life. I am quite sure it is going to kick ass. Once I get it to work.
My shopping trip to the Runner’s Den was great – actually I came home saying “God bless running stores!” because in a world where my (lack of) running ability tends to get me down (o, how far I have fallen in only 5 months…) I walked in the door, spoke intelligently about my needs, and realized that 5 months was simply taking the winter off, and the sales guy agreed that my shoes were indeed shot after my half in October. What struck me is that at most running stores, they take that you are a runner at face value, even if you are a bit of a poser at the time (me). I left with shoes that make me feel like I can fly, and a sexy new attitude as well.
Worth every single penny.
